Bensfort Bridge Resort is located on the Otonabee River, 6 miles from Rice
Lake, 6 miles from Peterborough, and 90 miles from Toronto. It became popular
as a fishing camp in the late 1940's.

The 2013 fishing season begins at Bensfort Bridge on May 11 with pickerel
fishing south of the bridge. Muskie follows on June 1, and the Bass season
comes in on June 15.

Bensfort Bridge Resort stocks worms, an assortment of tackle
and fishing
licenses for your fishing convenience.

Bensfort Bridge Resort offers a variety of camping choices. Cottages,
waterfront tent and trailer sites, overnight or fully-serviced 30 amp seasonal
sites. Canoes, boat motor and Pontoon rentals, boat docks up to 40 feet
and boat launch. Gas and oil are also available.

Whether you fish for pan fish or that trophy to hang on your wall, Bensfort
Bridge Resort is the place to go.
Bensfort Bridge Resort is a rustic campground where nature surrounds you
providing
a quiet atmosphere for rest and relaxation. Enjoy the geese swimming on
the river while a heron glides gracefully overhead occasionally landing
to rest on the docks. One can only smile as you watch the squirrels, chipmunks
and rabbits scamper about the property collecting their treasures. For
the
bird enthusiast there are many different species of birds to view working
away in their natural habitat.

Three
Bedroom Cottage

The three bedroom cottage is done totally in wood. The bedrooms are done
in board-and-batten. The living area (kitchen, dining, living rooms) are
done in cedar. The 3-piece bath includes a toilet, sink and shower. The
view of the river from the deck is spectacular. The cottage is adjacent
to the volleyball court, and convenient to the playground.

Amenities to the cottage include toaster, refrigerator, and propane stove.
Bed linens and towels are not included with the cottage.
Two
Bedroom Cottage

The two bedroom cottage interior has the appearance of a log cabin. This cottage
does not have an inside washroom, but has washroom facilities close by. The cottage
has hot and cold running water. The kitchen has a sink, stove and refrigerator.
It overlooks the horseshoe pits and the river.
One Bedroom Cottage

The one bedroom cottage is a log cabin. It is one large open area
with kitchen,
dinette and bedroom area. The 3-piece bath includes a toilet, sink and
shower.
The cottage interior is done in one-inch oak paneling. The patio is stone,
and has a peaceful view of the river.
Please Note: We
require a cash cleaning deposit at check in time.
Activities

Activities throughout the summer include dock fishing, river swimming,
motor
boat rentals, canoe rentals, horseshoes and volleyball/badminton.
A play ship and a play fort with tires, slides, climbing equipment provide
hours of entertainment for the children. Swings provide additional
recreational activities.

Planned weekend activities throughout the summer months include pot luck
dinners, fishing derby for the children, fun-and-field day, Christmas
in July, craft times for the children, horseshoe tournament and Halloween
trick-or-treating in August.

Peterborough is the largest community and located about 6 miles from
us.
Area attractions include the hydraulic lift lock, boat cruises, zoo, golf
courses, harness race track, casino, Westgate (speedway), Wild Water and
Wheels,
miniature golf and batting cages, theaters, Art Gallery of Peterborough,
Little Lake Musicfest on Wednesday and Saturday.
